Everlongardener, About The Salad Green Queen

Did you ever have so many crazy, crafty ideas you could never center on just one?  I know the feeling!  I have half finished projects all over the place.  But gardening, that’s something I manage to get done, start to finish!

I believe that anyone can garden!  This doesn’t have to be hard.  Sure, you’ll have to work for it, but the concepts don’t need to be complicated.  Whether you are a city dweller, rural inhabitant or somewhere in between, you can do this!

I’m Hilary and I live in mid coast Maine with my husband and 5 year old son on ten rocky acres.  I love gardening, art, chickens, rabbits, cooking, casual power-walking and snowshoeing.  I’ve have been wintering over salad greens since 2010 and working in fine gardening since 2000. I completed the Maine Master Gardener program through the University of Maine Extension in 2009.

So What’s All The Buzz About?

Through my journey in season extension, I really want to share how easy it is to extend the harvest.  After doing some writing on the subject, a blog seemed like a great place to start.  Blog entries focus on the wild world of veggie and flower gardening.  Recipes, photos and gardening tips will show how to get the most out of a relatively short season!  Please subscribe by email, see my daily garden pics on Instagram @everlongardener, Facebook, follow the blog on Bloglovin’ or follow me on Pinterest.  Once again, thanks for coming along!
