I believe that anyone can garden! This doesn’t have to be hard. Sure, you’ll have to work for it, but the concepts don’t need to be complicated. Whether you are a urban dweller, rural inhabitant or somewhere in between, you can do this!
Everlongardener, the salad green queen. I’m Hilary and I live in mid-coast Maine with my husband, 5 year old son and my young dog Beau on ten rocky acres in zone 5b. I love gardening, art, rabbits, food, cooking, walking and snowshoeing. I’m working on an adventurous children’s book with my friend Kimberly Anne Nicoll as illustrator. I have a passion for writing gardening articles and helping everyone learn how to grow food. I’ve been wintering over tasty salad greens since 2010 and working in fine flower gardening since 2000. In 2009, I completed the Maine Master Gardener program through the University of Maine Extension.
Through my journey in season extension, I strive to share how easy it is to extend the harvest. After doing some writing on the subject, a blog seemed like a great place to start. Blog posts focus on the wild world of vegetable and flower gardening. Recipes, vibrant photos and gardening tips will show you how to get the most out of a relatively short season! You can subscribe to the Everlongardener blog for weekly posts by email.
